Description: Let's face it: JavaScript is the one language you're allowed to use professionally without really learning it. But it's 2011, and you're rapidly running out of excuses. This talk will push you to the next level of JavaScript mastery by demystifying the twin pillars of modular JavaScript programing: closures and prototypes. Bring a modern browser -- or a fresh build of Node if you're a real JavaScript geek -- and be prepared to dive in.
