Consultant
Joining Obtiva as a Consultant means that you’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with other elite Obtiva craftsmen on diverse, often complex, client projects. A successful Obtiva Consultant is passionate about software, client-focused, and always looking to take their game to the next level. Consultants are the go-to team members that make things happen, have, or can find, the answers, and frequently mentor both Obtiva Software Apprentices and client developers.
Consultants
- Apply Agile practices and technologies to deliver working software to clients
- Use Ruby on Rails and lightweight Java, object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Enjoy an exciting and challenging career in software consulting, working on interesting client projects with elite Obtiva consultants
- Seek and share knowledge through books, blogs, mailing lists, user groups and conferences
You should have
- Undergraduate or graduate degree
- Extensive skills with modern languages, such as Java, C#, or Ruby, and knowledge of OO design and patterns
- At least 2-4 years of professional programming experience
- Ability to interact well with clients and other team members
- Ability to lead small teams and mentor colleagues and client developers
- Experience, or a strong interest, in Agile practices, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and iterative planning
