Software Apprentice

Joining Obtiva as a Software Apprentice means that you’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced Obtiva craftsmen on exciting client projects. A successful apprentice is focused, passionate and hungry for knowledge. Our apprenticeship program has proven that our one-on-one teaching, directed study, and client projects leads to rapid growth in the skills and abilities of our apprentices.

Software Apprentices

• Learn powerful methodologies and technologies through a structured program. Topics include, Agile practices, object-oriented analysis & design, and programming in the latest languages
• Launch an exciting and challenging career in software consulting, working on interesting client projects with elite Obtiva consultants
• Develop software using Obtiva’s Studio Process and actively participate in adapting that process
• Seek and share knowledge through books, blogs, mailing lists, user groups and conferences

You should have

• Undergraduate or graduate degree
• Coursework or experience in OO languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby
• Up to 2 years of professional programming experience
• Ability to interact well with clients and other team members
• Interest in Agile practices, such as TDD, XP, and Scrum
