Obtiva is entrenched in the software craftsmanship movement, and Dave Hoover and Kevin Taylor are among a group of leaders in the craftsmanship community who have come together to organize the Software Craftsmanship North America (SCNA) conference October 15-16 in Chicago.
Craftsmen and companies influential in the craftsmanship movement will come together for two days of presentations, networking, sharing ideas and new concepts, and discussing future strategies in software development.
At the event, Dave Hoover will facilitate an Apprenticeship Panel comprised of Ethan Gunderson, Colin Jones, Eric Meyer and Nate Jackson, four craftsmen who were brought up through apprenticeship programs. They will candidly discuss their experiences, share insights and field questions from the audience.
Conference organizers have assembled a brilliant lineup of speakers who will enlighten SCNA attendees and show them what it takes to master the craft of software development.
Obtiva, and Dave Hoover in particular, is deeply rooted in the software craftsmanship movement, and SCNA is an event that embodies our approach and our philosophy toward software development.
Information and registration for SCNA can be found here. It takes place at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center near O’Hare Airport, and rest assured this will be a meaningful and inspirational couple of days well worth your time.
